So you’re pushing hard in the gym, training for your sport has ramped up or a big time tournament or camp just wrapped up. Now you’re left tired, sore, grumpy and the tank’s completely empty.
I see you! You pushed your body hard and performed your best, but in order to keep that up, its important to recover even HARDER!
Today we’ll look at the perfect recovery drink to help reduce muscle soreness and help with sleep - (where we do our best recovering!!)
So what’s in it?
tart cherry juice
Contains powerful antioxidants that help reduce exercise induced inflammation which leads to a reduction in muscle soreness.
magnesium
Magnesium is a nutrient that is commonly found in foods such as bananas, nuts, spinach and many other sources. It comes in many forms all with different actions on the body. Magnesium is essential in muscle function and maintaining electrolyte balance. It helps relax the muscles, prevent cramping and reduce soreness. Did you know that magnesium is one of the main components of epsom salts and hence why baths are a great recovery tool!
Cherry-Lime Sparkling Recovery Drink
RECIPE
1 cup tart cherry juice
1 scoop of MAG CALM
juice of 1/2 a lime
honey - to taste
Lime flavoured sparkling water
Mix, pour over ice into your fav glass and enjoy!
